You would not have to spend days in order to find the store that carries your size. Today, shopping really can be more convenient so you will be able to enjoy your shopping. Even popular brands cater to bigger sizes now too. So, you can really look trendy even with your size. To look your best though, it’s most important that you are not only go with trend but with the styles that enhance you figure and your natural beauty.
What Works?
Different necklines in plus size blouses will give you various looks as well. In fact, it can make you look taller and leaner. Or, it could also give you the opposite effect. One of your best options is a V neck. Because of the shape of such neckline, you create an illusion of a longer neck. Of course with an elongated appearance, it will even help make your neck appear slimmer too. That is why the V neck neckline is most preferred than round necks. If you don’t mind exposing more of your chest, you can also use a portrait neckline. It’s more revealing and so it basically flatters your curves in the upper body. But it usually does not reveal the cleavage. That is why it’s a classic cut. You can have a more beautiful look without being too revealing.
Best Skirts for Special Cases
Many full sized women have a problem with bigger upper arms. And many women tend to remedy the situation by wearing plus size blouses that cover their arms. If you think that this will make you look slimmer, you could not be more wrong. Instead a strapless blouse could make your arms look trimmer. What’s more is that the attention would not be focused on your arms but it would be on your neck, shoulder and bust. But then if you are on the busty side, you might also feel self-conscious if the attention is on your bust.
A No-No for Plus Size Blouses
Not all necklines would look great on plus size blouses. In fact, some necklines would actually make you look bigger. A square neckline, for one, would make you look even wider. Given your size, you should avoid blouses with such necklines. Again, you have to stick with necklines that flatter your figure or give your size an illusion of a slimmer shape. You should also avoid high necklines. Such styles would only make you look bulkier so again, such neckline should be avoided. The rule of thumb is the more skin you cover or the less skin you show the bigger you will usually look. You should not go with spaghetti straps for your blouses though, as they could also make your arms and the rest of your upper body look larger. If you are going with a sleeveless blouse, use straps that are at least an inch wide.
